Summer Photo Collages

Saving Summer with Photo Collages

I love to create summer photo collages. Summer is far too short; but, we do our best to squeeze in as much as possible, before the school bell rings. When the number of days left are down to a few we find ourselves  trying to cram in as much as possible – buying those last matinee tickets, going to the pool one last time, and getting a shaved ice treat before the temporary stands get hauled away.

I find myself doing the same with my summer photo collages. I have so many photos that I am looking for ways to fit them all on just a few pages. Below are examples of how I “cram it all in” and save my summer memories!

Cropdog.com water country

Cropdog.com 12 image patternWhen I started looking for a pattern to fit my Water Country shots I knew this 12 image pattern would work great because I had taken a series of shots of my son playing in the fountains. The top row with alternating strips and portrait spots would be a great place for them. (Putting all the images in a row this way reminded me of one of those Phenakistiscopes.)

Collage Templates that Show off Summer Memories

The templates shown below are great for summer photo collages because they offer multiple large and small photo spots (allowing for lots of photos to be displayed on a page.) I like how the two “strip style” sections (see upper template shown below) allows two photos to blend together. The mosaic style frame, around the center photo, (see the lower template shown below) is a great way to show off a summer texture, such as the pool water shown on example page.
